In memoriam Freddie Mercury ....

5 septembrie 1946, este ziua cand s-a nascut Farrokh Bulsara, alias Freddie Mercury, solistul prestigioasei formatii de rock Queen (trupa Queen s-a infiintat in 1970 in Anglia, Londra Membrii componenti au fost: Brian May (chitarist), Freddie Mercury (vocal) si Roger Taylor (tobosar), in 1971 li se alatura si basistul John Deacon.). Textierul si compozitorul s-a nascut in Zanzibar (Africa) si este autorul multor hituri interpetate de Queen: Bohemian Rapsody, We are the champions, Little Thing Called Love, Killer Queen, Seven Seas of Rhye, Somebody to Love, Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy, Bicycle Race, Don’t Stop Me Now, Crazy Little Thing Called Love, Play the Game …
Doua dintre cantecele lui Freddie — We Are the Champions și Bohemian Rhapsody — au fost recunoscute drept cele mai bune cantece din toate timpurile de asociatii importante precum Sony Ericsson si Guinness World Records.
Freddie Mercury alaturi de Queen au organizat concerte pe stadioane, cel mai cunoscut fiind cel de pe Wembley, folosea piane in concerte, iar in studio, diverse alte instrumente asemanatoare pianului.
Fiind absolvent al unei scoli de arta si design, Earling Art College acesta a creat si emblema formatiei.
A avut si o cariera solo, lansand albumul Mr. Bad Guy si Barcelona (alaturi de soprana Montserrat Caballé). Single-ul The great pretender (preferatul meu, alaturi de We are the champions), in anul 2006 , in luna septembrie a debutat pe locul 5.
Pe 24 noiembrie 1991, Freddie Mercury moare , rapus fiind de S.I.D.A. … dupa moartea sa prietenii au organizat concerte iar fondurile acumulate au fost donate bolnavilor de S.I.D.A. … ceea ce trebuie sa stim este ca ….. Show must go on … go on … go on … pentru ca … We are the champions and … No time for loosers ………. and thank you beautiful people ….
